M33 - Triangulum Pinwheel Galaxy - 100213

The Triangulum Galaxy (Messier 33 or NGC 598) is a spiral galaxy approximately 3 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. M33 is sometimes referred to as the Pinwheel Galaxy, although that name is officially applied to M101. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, after our own Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy.

This image is a stack of 21 ten-minute exposures on my Canon 450D at 1600 ISO, taken through my SkyWatcher ED-100. The images were stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop.
